We are here to help! Our association members are all volunteers with different backgrounds, the one thing we all have in common is our desire to help others as we have experienced the kindness of those who have helped us when we were in need.
Yes, we were there once, we came to Canada with nothing but the clothes on our back. Starting fresh in a new country, new language, new culture, new friends are all we can count on.
Working with local businesses such as Dan-D Foods, Urban Fare, T&T, Starbucks, Maxim Bakery, and food security organizations such as the Vancouver food bank and FoodMesh, we collect and distribute much needed nutritious food to the elders, homeless, and vulnerable in the community.
We have embarked on a new venture to sponsor Afghanistan refugee families to our country, help them settle into their new life with the support of other local communities. We have sponsored a family of 4 and a single individual so far with 2 more hoping to arrive soon.
With help from our volunteers and sponsors everyone has settled in and thriving in our beautiful country.
